Stories from the road
What it feels like.
Every journey is different. Every couple arrives carrying something different.
And every experience is designed around exactly that — not a template, but a real human story. Here's what some of those journeys have looked like.

Outcome
The blueprint for everything that came next.
I went to Provence to slow down. I came home with the framework that would become The Intention Architect.
here is something about Provence that doesn't let you stay busy. The light moves so slowly it almost asks you a question. The towns close for lunch. The canyon at Verdon — cut deep enough that the wind comes up from the river — makes the noise in your head feel small. So you put the noise down, and you start hearing the things underneath it.
What I heard, in those few days above the gorge, was the thing I'd been avoiding for years. Not a crisis. Just a quiet, honest sentence about how I actually wanted to live — versus how I'd been living. The kind of sentence that's impossible to argue with once you've finally said it to yourself.

It struck me, sitting there, that this wasn't accidental. The place was doing some of the work for me. The light, the slowness, the silence between things. I could feel how a real conversation — with myself, with a partner — would be easier here than anywhere I'd ever tried to have one.
That's the insight everything is built on: the right place, designed for, can change a conversation that's been stuck for years. The Verdon doesn't fix marriages. But it makes the kind of honesty marriages need a great deal easier to find.
It's why I tell every couple who calls me: this isn't really about the trip. The trip is what makes the conversation possible.
"The place was doing some of the work for me — the light, the slowness, the silence between things."

THE FOUNDATION BEFORE THE FLIGHT

The tools work before the destination does.
Every Intention Architect experience begins before you board a plane. The conversation frameworks, reflection tools, and card decks that travel with you — they're not accessories to the trip. They're the reason the trip works.

We know this because we've watched them work at home first.

What I love most is how naturally they create an open and relaxed atmosphere, making communication between family members easier and more genuine.

These games don't just entertain — they bring families closer together and strengthen our connections in a meaningful way.

Couples' stories — from our first Signature trips abroad — will be added here the week each couple gets home.
If the tools create this kind of honest conversation at a kitchen table in Calgary — imagine what they open up when you're sitting above the Verdon gorge, or watching the sun drop into the Pacific.

That's what we're designing. Not a trip. A reset.
